The Unity Ministers Alliance (UMA) currently offers the following programs and services as part of our mission to support our members. And, in keeping with the Principle of Giving and Receiving, we also offer opportunities to our members to give of their time, talent and resources in support of one another through our organization.
Each program or service will offer an opportunity to become more involved by serving in some capacity. We encourage your prayerful consideration of how you may contribute to your colleagues in the UMA by sharing your time, talent and consciousness as a volunteer in one of these programs.
Our organization is only as strong as we continue to actively engage our mission. The programs and services are ways we do that and all are needed to achieve our mission. Your involvement adds to the energy and strength of our organization. We thank you in advance for your willingness to serve.
Mentoring
In 2021, the UMA established a mentoring program to serve recently graduated and ordained/licensed ministers from the Urban School. The program was designed to support and assist these colleagues their first year serving in a Unity ministry. In this process, they are invited to become members of the UMA.
The mentors and mentees who have participated in the program have found it to be very meaningful. As a result of their time together, relationships have become friendships and some continue after that first year in their supportive interactions.
As we became aware of the meaningfulness of this kind of support, the UMA Board decided to expand the mentoring program and to offer this service to any Unity minister or LUT currently serving as leader of a Unity church.
In this expanded version, the time limit, i.e., one session or more, will be determined by the two participants. The purpose and goal of this program is to offer the experience and wisdom of seasoned ministers whenever a need for assistance is expressed by a colleague. All mentors will be ordained Unity ministers having served at least five (5) consecutive years in a Unity Ministry.
To be connected with a mentor send your request and contact information, i.e., email and phone number to: administrator@unityministersalliance.com

Minister Support Groups
In an effort to dispel the isolation felt by many of our colleagues and provide ongoing and personal support, we would like to initiate some group activities for Unity ministers and spiritual leaders. We envision this in areas where there are several Unity ministries within driving distance of one another. This may or may not fit into any particular UWM region.
To be effective, groups would want to meet on a regular basis. We suggest meeting once a month for prayer, fellowship, and conversation and/or action, if that kind of support is indicated.
This time could also include a meal. To accomplish this goal, we need your help.
Opportunity to serve: We are currently seeking ministers/spiritual leaders to get things started.

UMA Conference
The evaluations from those who attended past IAMU conferences were consistently good to excellent. However, to assure the safety and health of our members during the Covid pandemic, we joined other organizations in suspending all personal gatherings.
It goes without saying there is great value in personal contact and we feel the time has come to gather in person once again. The UMA Board recently voted to convene in a conference setting in 2024. As in the past, meeting times will be divided between educational opportunities, including personal interactions and sharing, and time for fun and fellowship. One of the most meaningful experiences from past conferences was a visit to Unity’s original headquarters at 9th and Tracy.
Plans are in motion to make the 2024 conference a meaningful experience. More information will be shared via email soon.
Opportunity to serve: Planning a conference involves a lot of time, energy and hands. We will need local members to do the “hands on” work and other volunteers to serve during the conference.
If you would like to help in planning the conference and/or serving during the conference, contact: administrator@unityministersalliance.com

We also meet with the Reverend Jim Blake, CEO and President of UWH, when there is a need.

Truth at Work
Millions of people have been introduced to Unity with the story of Myrtle Fillmore’s healing. We know there are many similar stories yet to be told and we are in the process of creating a document titled Truth at Work to share these stories.
The purpose of the document is to share actual accounts of spiritual principles at work, i.e., stories that inspire, affirm and strengthen our consciousness of the Truths we know. The stories will be sent to our members via email and will be available to share in Sunday lessons or wherever they may serve to strengthen and renew the faith of those on a spiritual path.
Our friend and colleague, Reverend Martha Mosley, has agreed to serve as editor of this document. At this time the frequency of publishing is open. We will publish as often as we have stories to tell.
Opportunity to serve: We invite each of you to share a personal story of how a particular spiritual Principle has worked in your life and what it has meant to you. You may also share stories that your congregants have shared with you and are willing to allow us to publish.
Questions and/or stories should be submitted by email to Reverend Mosley at: martha.mosley@gmail.com
